Associate Professor of Computational Biology at MBZUAI,, Abu Dhabi, where he leads the Generative AI for Genomics and Medical Imaging (GenMI) Lab. His research focuses on human-centered artificial intelligence for healthcare, developing machine learning and multimodal AI methods to analyze complex biomedical data, including genomics, medical imaging, and electronic health records. His work spans both foundational and applied AI, addressing challenges in early disease diagnosis, prognosis modeling, precision medicine, and safe, robust AI systems for clinical environments. Before joining MBZUAI, he served as an Associate Professor in Human-Centered Machine Learning at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. Prof. Razzak has secured over USD 15 million in competitive research funding, authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications, and received best-paper recognitions at leading computer science venues. He serves on the editorial boards of major journals, including IEEE TNNLS, IEEE JBHI, and Neural Networks, and has chaired or co-chaired numerous international conferences, workshops, and special sessions.
